Our Radical Privacy & Data Minimization Policy
Effective Date: October 26, 2026 • Written for human understanding, not legal obscurity.
Zero Model Training
We never feed your files, bills, or medical notes into AI training sets.
Ephemeral Storage
Uploaded files are processed in-memory and deleted immediately.
Private by Default
Reports are never made public without your explicit consent.
1. What Information We Process
When you use ClearIt, you provide text or document files (PDF, PNG, JPG, WEBP). This content is sent over encrypted TLS connections to our server solely for text extraction and plain-language analysis.
We do not require you to create an account to perform an analysis, meaning we do not collect your name, postal address, or telephone number.
2. How We Handle Uploaded Documents
- In-Memory Processing: When you upload a file, it is parsed in temporary server memory to extract text and analyze clauses.
- No Long-Term Retention: We do not store raw uploaded files on disk or permanent cloud object stores. Once the analysis is generated, the raw file is discarded.
- 24-Hour Ephemeral Cache: To allow you to review, print, and copy your report, the structured summary output is cached in ephemeral server memory for 24 hours, after which it expires automatically.
3. AI Sub-Processors & Non-Training Agreements
ClearIt utilizes enterprise AI inference providers (such as Google Gemini and OpenAI). Under our commercial API terms with these providers:
API inputs and outputs are NOT used to train foundation models, are processed under zero-data-retention enterprise terms, and are protected under enterprise-grade encryption.
4. Prompt Injection & Security Protections
All submitted content is treated strictly as passive, untrusted reference data. ClearIt strips executable control sequences and isolates documents so that malicious text embedded in a document cannot alter system rules or hijack user sessions.
5. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to request immediate deletion of any temporary report cache. Simply click "Analyze Another Document" or clear your browser cache. You can also contact us at any time through our Feedback page.
